Netflix has revealed a brief cast shakeup for the upcoming season of their massive hit Bridgerton.

The lead family is gaining a new sister in actress Hannah Dodd, who will be replacing Ruby Stokes as Francesca Bridgerton. While we haven't gotten to know much about the 6th-oldest sibling over the first two seasons, People Magazine has shared that "there may be more to come for her character in upcoming seasons."

"Francesca Bridgerton is a bit of a mystery within her chatty, extroverted family," Netflix said in a statement. "Despite her reserved nature, she goes along to get along when it comes to society affairs, fortified with a dry wit and pragmatism that confound the fickle ton yet seem to draw attention when she least desires it."

Dodd is familiar to the streaming platform. She recently played a young version of Sophie Whitehouse in Anatomy of a Scandal and was featured in their 2020 film Enola Holmes. Additionally she is a classically trained ballet dancer and studied dance at the London Studio Centre.

Stokes will be stepping away from the role to film Lockwood & Co, an upcoming supernatural thriller that will premiere on Netflix.
